Privacy Policy

Information we collect

• Account information: your first name, last name, email address, age, account creation information, sign-in method information, and onboarding status.
• Authentication information: sign-in session data and, if you choose them, Google or Apple sign-in information returned by that provider. StockZeo does not store or display your plaintext password.
• Paper-trading activity: virtual cash balances, portfolio history, holdings, paper trades, performance calculations, and achievements.
• Community and challenge activity: friend requests and statuses, challenge participation, challenge positions and trades, challenge progress, rankings, and achievement completions.
• Campus features: an eligible school email address, its school domain, campus membership, and verification-request records when you use campus competitions or verify a secondary school email.
• Device and usage information: browser cookies or similar session storage, request information used for security and abuse prevention, and onboarding progress saved in your browser local storage.
• Support information: information you choose to provide when contacting support, such as your email, device, page, error message, and approximate issue time.

How we use information

• Create and authenticate your account and maintain your signed-in session.
• Create your virtual starter portfolio, execute paper trades, calculate holdings and performance, and display your trade history.
• Operate friendships, achievements, challenges, campus membership verification, and eligible challenge rankings.
• Fetch and cache market quotes, historical pricing, company information, and news used in the educational experience.
• Secure the service, apply rate limits, investigate errors, prevent abuse, and operate StockZeo.
• Respond to support requests and communicate about verification or account issues.

Service providers and sharing

StockZeo does not sell personal information. Information is shared only as needed to operate the application, provide features you request, comply with law, or protect the service and its users.

• Authentication and data-hosting providers process account, session, and application records needed to run StockZeo.
• Google or Apple receives and processes sign-in activity only when you choose the applicable sign-in option, subject to that provider's policies.
• Market-data providers receive stock symbols or search terms needed to retrieve market information. StockZeo does not intentionally send your StockZeo profile or trading history with those market-data requests.
• Email-delivery providers may process school verification messages or account-related messages.
• Authorized StockZeo operators may review account, portfolio, challenge, campus, market-health, or security information as needed to operate and protect StockZeo.

Visibility in community features

Friend search may let signed-in users find other StockZeo users by name or email in order to send a friend request. Challenges and campus competitions can display ranking and simulated performance information to participants eligible for those features. Do not use a school email for campus features unless you are authorized to access that inbox.

Storage, retention, and deletion

StockZeo keeps account and paper-trading records for as long as your account is maintained and as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and document the service. Market-data cache records are stored for application performance and are not intended to identify individual users. Verification links expire, although related verification and membership records may be kept for security, support, or feature operations.

You can delete your account from Account Settings. To request access to or correction of your personal information, use Contact Support in these Support Docs. Requests may require identity verification, and some information may be retained where reasonably necessary for security, legal obligations, or dispute resolution.

Security and your choices

StockZeo uses account authentication, user-scoped access controls, independent paper-trade validation, same-site request protections, and rate limits. No method of transmission or storage is guaranteed to be completely secure.

You can choose not to use Google or Apple sign-in, friendships, campus verification, or challenges. You may update available profile and security settings in the application. Do not send passwords, access tokens, or private credentials in a support request.

Children, changes, and contact

StockZeo is not intended for children under 13, and users under 13 must not create an account or provide personal information through the service.
