Buying and Selling Stocks

StockZeo supports market-only paper orders. Limit orders, options, crypto, and live brokerage execution are not supported.

Buying

Choose Buy, select whether to enter dollars or shares, review the estimated price, estimated total, estimated shares, and available cash, then submit the simulated order. StockZeo independently checks the latest available price and your virtual cash before completing the trade.

Selling

Choose Sell, enter dollars or shares, review the estimate, and submit. StockZeo checks that you own enough simulated shares before reducing or closing the holding.

Cash out

Cash out is a shortcut for selling part or all of an existing simulated position. You can enter a dollar amount or share quantity. The action is still a paper sell order and can fail if the price is unavailable or the amount exceeds your position.

Why estimates can differ

Displayed prices are estimates. A paper trade may execute at a different simulated price or be rejected if a valid price is not available when the order is processed.
